Was W More of a Liability?

http://westernperspective.blogspot.com/

Historians are now beginning to reexamine the role of Sir Winston Churchill in taking down the British Empire. While none of us can say for sure what effect the Bush presidencies have or will have on America, it is worthwhile to look at the track record.

George H. W. Bush by all accounts got America into the first Gulf War over what was essentially a disputed piece of real estate known as Kuwait, and over the alleged rape of Kuwaiti women by Iraqi men. While there is no doubt that Saddam Hussein was a mean, oppressive dictator who used poison gas against the Kurds and his enemies in Iran, and who quelled public dissent through torture and assassinations, was there really a valid reason to send troops to fight against Iraq in 1990-1991?

Before terrorism became a commonplace, household word, America had the dubious luxury to defend the ideals of freedom throughout the world using our military might. This essentially is what got us bogged down in an unwinnable war in Vietnam, although there was never any serious threat of the war spilling over onto American soil. Today, America no longer has that luxury to go to war on behalf of Israel and other client states. The costs are just too great.

Today, the terms "necessary" and "discretionary" as applied to wars have become all but obsolete, and we should stop using them. War is always a losing proposition. There are times when a nation must take defensive action in self-defense, or in defense of others against an aggressor. However, the decision to go to war is never properly made as something necessary in the sense of being determined by evolution. Man always has a choice, and our leaders must take full responsibility when they commit our boys and girls to fight overseas. Likewise, wars are never discretionary in the sense that one can make a decision based upon a cost-benefit analysis. Those who start wars as a matter of personal discretion should be held fully accountable for all losses sustained on both sides.

So, the question is, did George W. Bush's term of office, in which we went to war full scale to topple Saddam, bring about better or worse results overall for America? This question is separate from whether voters did the right thing in electing President Bush because of his pro-life commitment.

We have fought long enough. It is time to come home from Iraq and Afghanistan.

Restructuring the Nation's Economy

http://westernperspective.blogspot.com/

So far, this discussion has centered on redefining the role of women in society. Now as the debate on health care reform heats up, it is time to forge ahead and consider the changing character of corporations and other business entities in general.

Corporations are never wholly independent of the state. Their very existence is a creation of state charters. Therefore, they always owe a duty together with the state's obligation to promote the common good.

Traditionally, corporations have been classified as either being for profit, or nonprofit. In today's world, this separation is often blurred. The question arises, is it always in the best interests of society to maximize profits in order to insure full employment and growth of the Gross Domestic Product?

Future economic structures will of necessity be structured so as to allow all persons affected by their activity, whether workers, managers, investors, geographical neighbors, or the public at large, to become stakeholders in the day-to-day running of the business operations. At this time there now exists a unique window of opportunity to make this transition from private insurers to decentralized, cooperatively owned and run enterprises in the field of health care. The alternative is to expand government bureaucracy and control which can only result in cost increases and reduction in health care services. It is incumbent upon our congressional representatives to act boldly in redefining the parameters for the allocation of these resources. The best way to accomplish this goal is through decentralization at the local level, giving maximum leeway for participation in the day to day activities by doctors, nurses and other care providers, and also by the heads of families and households whom they serve. President Obama has already outlined the need to reduce the cost of unnecessary and redundant procedures, and there seems to be no good reason to allow out of control government oversight boards, committees, and a new czar to replace the old, worn out model.

Rather, Congress must take action to bring about a new economic playing field in which all those involved in production and buying goods and services become essential stakeholders and participants in the decision making process at the local level. Just as the factories of the future will of necessity be organized to provide assembly line type employment for women and men, particularly among minorities, endowed with lower innate intelligence levels, so also, there must be a restructuring of the production process itself to give all participants, including these women and minority workers, and all American families as purchasers of the nation's goods and services, an equal say in the way in which things get done at the local level.

Redistribution not Enough

http://westernperspective.blogspot.com/

The current health care debate brings out the need to go beyond a simple redistributive model so that there can be real health care reform.

Private health insurance derives from the capitalist system. Insurance corporations are allowed to exist and regulated by the state for the purpose of making a profit for investors. Thus there is an incentive to cut costs by not providing adequate medical services. This is analogous to corporations outsourcing jobs overseas to bypass local taxation, environmental and safety standards, and to obtain a cheap source of labor. Many manufacturing jobs have already been lost in America because of this. This is not the fault of labor unions which protect workers. As there are no guarantees in life, the outsourcing of jobs happens because workers have the power to effectively demand justice. With this power comes responsibility, and the risk of possible job insecurity.

Moving beyond the capitalistic model, there is a need for all those directly affected by corporate activities, whether workers, consumers, or people living in the local community, to become stakeholders and actively involved in the decision making process. In the case of plant relocation, for example, an enterprise organized as a cooperative would factor in the harmful effects on workers and their families. Decisions could then be made perhaps for managers and workers to take a pay cut in order to make the business more competitive, or perhaps to scale back production for local consumption only. At least these alternatives would be better than stopping production altogether.

The same should apply with health care. The current proposals will not work. They will require more government spending and government mandates which will drive private health insurers out of business. Neither the American families nor the health care providers will be given a stake in decision making. That will all be done by a government czar.

Globalism versus Protectionism

http://westernperspective.blogspot.com/

Is the current trade imbalance good or bad?

America is already consuming a big chunk of the world's resources. Foreign competition insures that the work Americans are doing is actually useful in the world context. If people of other nations can produce for less, why should Americans be paid more for doing the same things? The importing of goods acts as an incentive at home to make our economy benefit the people of America. At the present time, the trend is toward redistribution. This should lead to greater independence at the local level for basic necessities including health care to protect Americans from the vicissitudes of the global marketplace. Perhaps we will see a return to local community doctors making house calls. The important thing is that all of us will get care when we need it, and at less cost.

Looking at the world from a global perspective, it is not good to put up barriers to trade with other nations. The less developed countries, as was America 200 years ago, do not value free trade, job safety, and the protection of the environment as we do. If they lose jobs, generally more people are reduced to substandard living conditions. If America loses jobs, we as the wealthiest nation on earth simply readjust our priorities, making political decisions that give everyone the basic necessities of life, while giving people new opportunities for education and for jobs that meet real human needs. The end result is that the less developed countries grow relative to us, and they then adopt more liberal economic policies and stricter environmental and employment protection safeguards.

Where the Rubber Hits the Road

http://westernperspective.blogspot.com/

The Values March in Washington DC this weekend marks the beginning of a new era. Ostensibly a disparate group of Americans each having their own issues, in actuality this was the first time in which the premises of Liberalism were seriously challenged. It reminds me of the small breaches that first arose in the flawed St. Francis Dam (pictured above) above the San Fernando Valley before the dam finally broke sending water crashing all the way out to the Pacific Ocean.

Liberals in both major political parties apparently just don't get that their time in government is coming to an end. Just last week, a California Assemblyman who supported family values was forced to resign for talking trash in front of an open microphone in the legislative chamber. This faux pas was a relatively minor infraction of decorum. In contrast, Congressman Joe Wilson is widely acclaimed for shouting out during the President's speech to a joint session of Congress. Both actions were inappropriate, yet the electorate can understand and appreciate the Congressman's frustration at the President's duplicity and obfuscations on health care.

What we are seeing is the beginning of a spiritual revival in which the social conservatives who have always opposed abortion are beginning to persuade the majority of citizens toward their way of thinking, because the alternative just doesn't work. As the majority shifts to oppose abortion, the tide is turning against liberalism. Americans will no longer tolerate egotism in government.

RE: African American DNA

http://westernperspective.blogspot.com/

A few changes are in order from yesterday.

The rate of R1b is much higher in the male Afro-American population, reaching 23% in recent surveys. This reflects a direct paternal lineage from Europe of approximately 30%. Conversely, almost all Afro-Americans descend from Africa in a direct maternal lineage. Using the rational, scientific method with DNA testing, instead of politicizing education and employment as do the liberals, should therefore result in more and better jobs for Afro-Americans, with women not being forced to compete with white men on an intrinsically lopsided playing field.

Building America's Future

http://westernperspective.blogspot.com/

Several errors have come to light. Herbert Hoover should have been mentioned in presidential ancestry for Swiss origin paternal DNA, in addition to Van Buren, both Roosevelts, and Eisenhower who were not descended paternally from the British Isles, and Jefferson who was found to be type K2 probably Iberian. Also, the Atlantic Modal hyplotype, given as R1b1b2a1a [L11], is the most frequently occurring haplotype amongst human males in Atlantic Europe, and together with the other R1b types, would comprise most of the males of Western Europe and North America.

With that in mind, our policy goal should be to identify Rlb male children through DNA testing to prepare them for leadership roles in the future of America, which now hangs precariously in the balance of diversity. This should include many of the Hispanic Americans descended from European ancestors including the Basques who have the highest rate of AMH DNA in the world, and the African Americans who have approximately 13% descended paternally from Europe, which should translate to approximately !0% R1b type. Many Asian American and Amerindian males will also be found to be of the R1b type, either through descent from European ancestry or from the original home of R1b in Asia. This public policy should not overlook other lines of descent including that among White Americans. There are lots of other jobs, e.g. taking out the trash, etc., which do not require the specific characteristics of R1b Y-DNA. R1a is also common in America, and because of its similarity to R1b, will provide many men in leadership roles in the future.

Redefining the Role of Women in America

http://westernperspective.blogspot.com/

In order for America to remain competitive in an increasingly sophisticated global marketplace, American women must assume a role different from the uppity, grasping, power hungry, career oriented shrews portrayed by the media. It is a plus that women have the opportunity to work in all types of jobs and professions for which they have the basic skills. The problem arises because of the tendency for politicians and lawmakers to give preferences to women and minorities which take away good jobs from men among the majority who have more innate intelligence because of their inherited Y-DNA.

The Atlantic Modal haplotype comprises most of the men of Western Europe and North America. In the past, this group has been the most successful and earned the most money while America as a whole was prospering.

Today, because of affirmative action and quotas in educational placement and hiring, Atlantic Modal males are not, in many cases, getting the best jobs and making the most money. This gives the competitive advantage to the growing economies of India and China in the Far East.

Therefore, it is in the best interest of American women to accept an important and ancillary role in the economy with a corresponding pay cut so that more intelligent men can advance higher on the economic ladder. This in no way diminishes the role of women in society, but rather helps to bring out their God-given abilities and aptitudes.

Of course women will always be needed for the most important job of all, that of mother to bring into existence and to raise up the next generations of Americans.

Keep America First in Production

http://westernperspective.blogspot.com/

America will lose our competitive edge in the global marketplace unless we act now to make genetically based intelligence the basis for educational placement, hiring and job promotion. The main reason why India and China are surpassing us in the high tech field is because they do not give preferences to people who are stupid and who lack basic skills, as we have done in America through Head Start and the Affirmative Action programs. This will result in more and more high paying, white collar jobs being outsourced unless we act decisively as a nation now.

We now know that men have more intelligence than women, and that the divergence is even greater at the high end of the spectrum. Our past prosperity as a nation was based upon our work ethic which did not put those with greater intelligence, as measured by the g factor, at a competitive disadvantage.

First, to remain competitive in the global market economy, America will have to act immediately to redefine the role of women so that they stop taking away good, high paying jobs from men with better intellectual aptitude, and so that they will not be forced to compete on a playing field that is inherently unfavorable to women because of sex based genetic differentials in intelligence.

Secondly, America will have to start testing children for their DNA typology and then assign them to fast tracks in education that will get them to the jobs for which they have the most aptitude. Depending on the DNA test results, women and men with lower intelligence levels who want to work will be trained and prepared for the technical assembly line type jobs which we are now losing to developing countries. Realistically, since they lack the intelligence it is only fair that they get the lower paying jobs.

Stop taking the best jobs with the most money away from the guys who have the most aptitude and intelligence.

Health Care "Reformer" Bites Off Finger of Bystander, Still at Large

http://westernperspective.blogspot.com/

In Ventura County where I live, a Health Care Reform demonstrator provoked a fight with an innocent bystander Wednesday evening, and then bit off part of his little finger. Leave it to MSNBC to get their facts wrong, reporting that the person who caused the injury was an Anti-Obamacare activist.

Buchanan's Germany

http://westernperspective.blogspot.com/

Pat Buchanan's latest column is entitled "Did Hitler Want War?". Of course Hitler did not want to go to war. Only a fool would want to start a war that would cause great loss to one's own country. This would better describe the attitude of American neo-conservatives who wanted to start American wars that could not be won in Iraq.

What Buchanan overlooks is that the victorious powers of the first World War essentially boxed Germany into a corner by imposing unreasonable demands on the German people and creating an untenable democratic structure of the Weimar Republic. Hitler, who was somewhat of a war hero, gave Germany a way out of the dilemma.

In the former Austrian Crown lands including Bohemia, most of the people including those who were German speaking resisted unification with Germany and wanted to maintain the status quo. It was only after the Nazi Anschluss in which there was a de facto annexation of Austria to greater Germany in 1938 that the German speaking people in the Slavic countries, who considered themselves Austrians, went along with Hitler's takeover of the former Czechoslovakia, although there had always been support for unification among the more extreme factions.

Europe was always united culturally. As far as France had strayed from its Christian roots during the French Revolution, France had to stand for something against the neo-paganism of the Nazi Reich. Britain, France and America went to war not to save Poland, Russia and the Jews, but to save what was left of Christianity in Germany.

DNA

http://westernperspective.blogspot.com/

As more and more Americans "get tested" to find out their DNA characteristics, it is only a matter of time before someone connects the dots to match the lineages of prominent American families and political figures with their ancient ancestors. Depending on the results, this will do much to dispel the mythology of diversity which has taken over the academic elite.

Not long ago, the current Director of the NEC Lawrence Summers was forced to step down as president of Harvard University because of his off the cuff remarks concerning the apparently intrinsic inability of women to compete in the workplace in many jobs and professions today. This was regarded as academic heresy by the elite who care nothing about objective truth but only about political power. Liberals are using this prestige to gain power through lies. The Danish psychologist Helmut Nyborg, whose research strongly points to gender variance in intelligence, was temporarily suspended and his scientific conclusions were unceremoniously changed by an investigative committee in 2006.

From what little DNA evidence is now available, it is clear that almost all of the male European royalty and nobility are R1b type, including those of Russia as shown by the last Tsar's DNA notwithstanding that R1b is not the most common male DNA form there. Undoubtedly, the same trend will be found to exist in America once the male DNA of the irishtocracy from the Kennedy and Reagan years comes to light.

To recapitulate, diversity is bad for America. Women and minorities would do well to oppose and vote against opportunistic candidates for public office who support diversity in education and in the work place. It is in their own best interest to do so. The role of women needs to be redefined so that they are no longer exploited by the imperative to compete on an intrinsically unequal playing field. Tests should also be done to place males on fast tracks to jobs that are more compatible with their DNA limitations, rather than giving some an artificial advantage to make it possible for them to get jobs for which they have little or no aptitude.

The Kennedy Myth

http://westernperspective.blogspot.com/

Edward Moore Kennedy's title "Lion of the Senate" apparently derives from Morgan Llywelyn's novel "Lion of Ireland" about the legendary Irish king Brian Boru styled Imperator Scottorum. Like most of the Kennedy legend including Camelot, the comparison is pure sham. Historically the Irish Kennedy sept ruled as lords of Ormond in what is today north County Tipperary. Joseph Kennedy's grandfather however came to America from a small town in County Wexford where his family were tenant farmers. At this time the big landholders in that area were descended from English adventurers including the Ponsonby and Disney families. This would lead me to conclude that at least some of the Kennedys were expelled from Munster in the early part of the 14th century for supporting the losing side in a local skirmish in north Munster between two rival O'Brien contenders for the petty kingship of Thomond at that time. Incidentally, Lord Ponsonby's friend the Duke of Devonshire's son married Joseph Kennedy's daughter and Ted's sister Kathleen Kennedy in England in 1944.

Both of these branches of the Irish Kennedys apparently intermarried with Viking or mixed Viking daughters down through the centuries as there were lots of Viking settlers in both Tipperary and Wexford. This probably strengthened their genetic endowment.

As the youngest of the Kennedy sons, Ted probably had to face the family's expectations of marriage so that he could continue the family legacy even though he was not ready for marriage. Hence his first marriage was later annulled by the Catholic Church. During the interim and the aftermath, there were relationships with other women.

Ted learned the art of politics from his grandfather John Fitzgerald the Mayor of Boston. The Fitzgeralds likely descend from Viking ancestors in Britain who were given a spurious Italian pedigree by a 17th century Dominican friar who belonged to the Desmond Geraldines on his mother's side. Ted Kennedy was more like the American protagonist of "The Great Gatsby" by Francis Scott Key Fitzgerald, who built himself up to be something extraordinary by force of will.

R1 Y-DNA of Champions

http://westernperspective.blogspot.com/

The human genome project brings to light the unique contribution of R1 Y-chromosome males to world civilization. Both variations R1a and R1b split off from type R which originated in central or south Asia many thousands of years ago.

The R1a form took root in the central Asian steppes, whereas the R1b form migrated south and west into the Levant and across Africa over 15,000 years ago, north into Russia, and east toward the Indian subcontinent and China where they settled in the Tarim Basin. Both R1a and R1b types were united in forming the Kurgan Culture in which the Indo-European language group developed and which spread across Europe. Today, R1a is strongest among the Balto-Slavic peoples, and R1b is strongest in the Basque areas of Spain and France, Brittany, Wales and Ireland, with over 90% frequency in these areas of Europe. This Western civilization then spread throughout the world through exploration, discovery and settlement, and the spread of Christianity, including North America.

Scientific studies in Denmark have proven that males have bigger brains and are more intelligent than females, with greater divergence particularly on the high end of the intelligence spectrum. This suggests that R1 type males will continue to play a major role in North American culture.

Out of Africa

http://westernperspective.blogspot.com/

This blog has dealt with scientifically the issue of how genetics, specifically Y-chromosome DNA configurations, has been a decisive factor in presidential elections in America, including the ancestry of Thomas Jefferson. Now with the election of Barack Obama as our first African-American president, it is clear that America has passed a milestone in leadership selection.

My prior observations were based on the similarities between Y-chromosome DNA between the major candidates and the various ethnic groups within the general population. A cursory look reveals that almost all prior presidents were descended paternally from ancestors born in the British Isles, except Van Buren, both Roosevelts, and Eisenhower, whose paternal ancestors hailed from northwest Europe which shares many of the same paternal genetic characteristics with the British Isles. The one anomaly was regarding Thomas Jefferson who was found in the Sally Hemings paternity investigations to have had a rare form K of the male ancestor DNA markers passed down from father to son only.

Obama's election pushes the analysis one step farther to include more American males, since scientific studies now show that the ancestors of all living humans originated on the African continent, and that all living humans have a single common ancestor, both male and female, who lived in Africa.

During the Roman Empire, there was no racial discrimination. A person's social status depended upon whether one were a Roman citizen or not. Thus, there were many of African descent, bearing such sobriquets as Africanus, Niger, Moor, etc., who were well respected within the Empire. Some of their DNA characteristics have obviously been handed down in Italy, and among Italians of African descent. Also, a good percentage of our European ancestors were descended from Africa at a relatively recent time anthropologically speaking.

The Obama factor in 2008 demonstrates a degree of unity among American men which has not existed before in history. Instead of voting on the basis of Western European male genetic characteristics, Americans picked a president whose paternal ancestry reflects, to some extent, that of all human beings at some point going back in time. This also is a further step toward globalization which is proceeding at a much faster rate than expected.
