Going Negative

http://www.westernperspective.blogspot.com/

Republicans had better start getting busy running negative attack ads in key states against Obama if they hope to have any chance for Romney to win in November.  To curry favor of the Hispanic vote in Florida and other swing states, there is absolutely no downside in a Super Pac ad featuring Obama say in his own words that if he were a teenager, he would look like Trevon Martin, contrasted with photos of the wounds to Zimmerman's face and the blood streaming down the back of his head, and suggesting that as Trevon's drug use made him hypersensitive and so resulted in a confrontation with Zimmrman, so too Obama's admitted drug use and partiality toward TM will at minimum result in more of our youth experimenting illegally with drugs ergo more, not less, teen tragedies, and a worse economy.  Romney of course could always disavow the ad.

Obama chose to inject himself into an ongoing Florida investigation regarding the death of Trevon Martin.  Obama appeared publicly stating that if he were a teenager today, he would look like Trevon Martin.  Obama is still promoting the dead end subculture to which he once himself belonged, thereby setting a bad example for America's youth.  This led to a media witch hunt against George Zimmerman culminating in his arrest and imprisonment.  Zimmerman will be exonerated.

Where is there a Super Pac with the courage to use this footage of Obama in a negative attack ad, together with a story line extolling Zimmerman as a community hero unfairly maligned because of Obama's love for TM?

By now, Zimmerman, a registered Democrat, must be lividly opposed to Obama's reelection.  Get him and his family to flip and talk on video about what really happened that night, and Romney easily takes Florida and consolidates the latino vote, putting him over the top in electoral votes.

How Romney Could Win in 2012

http://www.westernperspective.blogspot.com/

The 2012 presidential election will be close, nasty and negative no matter what happens.  Now is the time for the Romney campaign and conservative Super PACs to hold Obama accountable for stirring up racial animosity and division concerning the death of Trevon Martin and the unjust arrest, imprisonment and prosecution of George Zimmerman who will almost certainly be exonerated by a jury at trial next month.

George Bush Sr. won the election in 1988 by the Willie Horton ad blaming Dukakis for releasing a dangerous criminal in Massachusetts where Dukakis was governor.  This was effective, negative advertising propelling Bush to victory.

Romney desperately needs White and Hispanic voter support in key states including Florida where the incident occurred.  Hispanics especially will take to an ad sympathetic to Zimmerman who is himself part Hispanic.  We need to flood the airwaves with pictures of the cuts on Zimmerman's head, his facial wounds, and portrayals of the dead end drug subculture of which both Obama and Trevon Martin belonged leading to disaster.

Justice for George

http://www.westernperspective.blogspot.com/

It is now abundantly clear that George Zimmerman committed no crime on the night of February 26, 2012, but was rather viciously attacked and assaulted by a teenage psychopath named Trevon Martin who was apparently high on drugs.  Americans are now outraged that media outlets including FOX have jumped on the bandwagon to unjustly punish Zimmerman, and that corrupt Florida feminist lawyers Pamela Bondi and Angela Corey, putting their own political agendas before the demands of justice, have falsely charged Zimmerman with second degree murder.  If and when Zimmerman is finally exonerated of all charges, we must make sure that the new United States Attorney General acts swiftly putting Bondi and Corey behind bars for violating the civil rights of an American citizen, malicious prosecution, false arrest and imprisonment of Mr. Zimmerman, and possible hate crimes in discriminating against Zimmerman based upon race, ethnicity, religion and gender.

Reverend Sharpton, Erin Burnett and Nancy Grace are not the only media folks falsely accusing Zimmerman thereby besmirching his reputation.  The FOX channel pundits O'Reilly and Guilfoyle have also caused Zimmerman irreparable injury suggesting that he somehow started a fight with Martin, when in fact, as the evidence at trial will clearly demonstrate, Martin aggressively attacked Zimmerman who was merely acting in self-defense when he killed Martin.  Unlike CNN, MSNBC and other networks, FOX purports to be "fair and balanced" in reporting news.   Will FOX fire O'Reilly and Guilfoyle once Zimmerman is acquitted on all counts?

Zimmerman did not create the tense racial situation in Orlando.  That is the fault of the Sanford police for not arresting and prosecuting the son of a police officer who decked a black homeless man for apparently no reason.  Why did not the Florida Attorney General act to prosecute this young culprit rather then Zimmerman, who was protecting his community from burglaries and in so doing became himself the victim of violence and miscarriage of justice?

Reflections on Veep

http://www.westernperspective.blogspot.com/

Minus the nonstop profanity, standard HBO fare, Veep would not be a bad TV comedy.  Watching Seinfeld reruns, I never noticed how attractive Julia Louis-Dreyfus really is.  Amazing what a little power politics can do for a woman.

Cutural Corruption

http://www.westernperspective.blogspot.com/

Bill O'Reilly could not change the gender of a flea, and yet he speaks as though scientific and medical quackery is legitimatized by the pursuit of happiness? Does O'Reilly even know what he is talking about on his talking points? Gender modification is just one more cruel hoax, together with oral contraception, airport naked scanners, tanning booths, and countless other gimmicks used by unscrupulous entitlement junkies to defraud and take advantage of people. Do libertarians appearing on the FOX channel, O'Reilly, Megyn Kelly and Ann Coulter, favor these hoaxes out of concern for public welfare, or because they secretly hate God and believe that they are better than other people and therefore entitled to exploit their weaknesses as a means to enrich themselves?

O'Reilly Lacking in Objectivity

http://www.westernperspective.blogspot.com/

Bill O'Reilly has committed the cardinal sin of journalism.  He has deliberately distorted and blurred reality so as not to offend a well-financed, vocal constituency, lacking all semblance of objectivity.

How would Bill like it if others in the media began to refer to Bill O'Reilly as "Mrs. O'Reilly", "she" and "her".  Yet that is exactly what he has done to Chastity aka Chas Bono, a person born female, in referring to her as "Mr. Bono", "he" and "him", in discussing Bono's endorsement of "same-sex marriage".

No human being can decide the gender of any living creature, including any other person,  herself or himself.  That is something only God as Creator gets to decide once and for all.  Male and female He created them.  Who does O'Reilly think he is?  It makes no difference whether governments accept gender equality and same-sex marriage.  Human psychology can never change the way things are in nature.

Bill O'Reilly has done a great disservice to Ms. Bono and the rest of his viewers in perpetuating this fiction on television.  He has also proven that the Fox television network is neither fair nor balanced as it claims to be.  He owes everyone an apology for this travesty of justice.

Welcome to Austerity USA

http://www.westernperspective.blogspot.com/

America is about to enter a new post-capitalist historical phase.  With re-election of Barack Obama, we will be looking at government imposed austerity from above, just like in Greece, Italy, Spain and other European nations.

This will mean long overdue, large cuts in existing and promised pension benefits and other perks for government employees including police, firefighters and teachers, further deflation of the dollar, health care rationing pursuant to Obamacare, long lines at the gas pumps, and further government takeovers of what was traditionally considered within the private sector domain.  American citizens will be brainwashed into eating only certain types of food, leaving more expensive butcher cuts reducing the cost for government employees, media folks and wealthy 1%ers.  Air travel will be further curtailed by using annoying security procedures so that government, media and 1%ers will all have the option to fly first class and rub each other's backs with no waiting.  Military drones will be increasingly used to spy on citizens, and eventually to kill and destroy without trial as a way to instill fear into the population.

Two Indians Still Standing

http://www.westernperspective.blogspot.com/

Romney's best playing card in the upcoming election is that he is a Washington outsider not tainted by war fever.  The Democrats are doing their best to trick Romney into showing his hand as a hawkish neo-conservative, thereby shielding Obama from voter weariness and dissatisfaction with his handling of foreign wars, thereby portraying Obama as the peace president.  Perhaps Romney will fall for this ruse.

George Romney and Ron Paul are the last remaining of the "ten little Indians" or native Americans of the original Republican contenders still standing. Picking Paul for VP would give the Republicans a winning ticket, allowing Romney to portray himself as the real non-interventionist conservative which would give him the Reagan Democrat vote in key swing states, and beat Obama at his own game.  But the Republican establishment is way too ideologically entrenched to take that risk.  Is Romney one of them, or is he smart enough to buck the establishment in order to win?

Putting America'a House Back in Order

http://www.westernperspective.blogspot.com/

Today, thanks to neo-conservatives, the Republican Party establishment is for all intents and purposes an appendage of the Israeli government.  It stands for a hodgepodge of buzz words including capitalism, free enterprise, and Social Darwinism which it vigorously upholds as sacred cows, thereby imposing a foreign agenda upon the American people.  Even Donald Trump now favors using economic tariffs against Chinese manufacturing to strengthen our own domestic production, something which the Republican establishment of both Bush presidents opposed in order to weaken America so that their unrealistic vision of a New World Order could be set up, much like Obama's approach to bolstering alternative energy sources by throwing roadblocks in the way of domestic coal, oil and natural gas production, neither of which will actually work in the real world.

The Republican Party is today the party of a false ideology.  The majority of Americans now see through and reject this sham.  Republicanism cannot survive nationally without destroying individual rights and freedoms as was done under George W. Bush.  Republican intransigence toward necessary economic reforms, and strict adherence to a narrow, doctrinaire economic agenda benefiting the rich at the expense of the vast majority of working class Americans, (which now includes almost all Americans within the so-called 99% not in terms of annual income alone, but in terms of actual wealth, thereby excluding most dumb pundits from the coveted 1% list regardless of whether they may arrogantly consider themselves among the elite rendering the comparison thereby absolutely meaningless, i.e. sycophants for the nouveau riche), all but guarantees re-election of Barack Obama in November.

The future of America will be in the hands of Left-leaning radicals beginning with Barack Obama's presidency.  That may be the best America can hope for.  Conservatives now represent the loyal opposition, upholding basic values including family, life, liberty and property rights against the seemingly all-powerful state.  This is God's judgment on a nation of libertarians who reject God and have chosen to go their own way.

What Is the Responsibility of Government?

http://www.westernperspective.blogspot.com/

The real losers of history are those who reject Christ's admonition to take care of those in need. This gospel message extends to governments as well as individuals. Government does indeed have a grave responsibility to see that all of the people in society, rich and poor alike, be provided with sufficient nutritious food, clean water, clothing, shelter and basic medical care. These things are proper to government and can never be left solely to private charities and philanthropic organizations. Those eccentrics in government who refuse to accept this solemn responsibility, or who trivialize and make light of it, do not deserve to govern. Of course, material needs are not man's only basic needs. Government also must make sure that adequate education be provided, and that freedom of conscience and freedom of worship be recognized, and that the right to life be protected and upheld at all stages.

Ventura County Obstructs Court Filings

http://www.westernperspective.blogspot.com/

In recent years, the County of Ventura, California and Jury Commissioner Michael Planet, who is apparently in charge of court filings, have year after year deliberately obstructed court filings necessary for conservatorships for mentally disabled individuals.  Last year, in filing the documents there was a long wait at the "Mental Health" window while other filings were being processed for Civil, Small Claims and divorce cases.  When the clerk finally arrived at the filing window, she immediately began to separate documents which were properly stapled and give advice about what needed to be included on the forms before filing.  That was the fifteenth year for filing annual conservatorship papers for my brother.  The particular clerk had only just started processing these types of filings.  She also unnecessarily wasted more of California taxpayer money, controlled by Proposition 13 limits on property taxes, and time by bringing the documents to a "higher up" rather than filing them as is.  Although there was nothing wrong with the documents, I made minor changes requested by the clerk.  After the documents were accepted, I then handed her a printed "Suggestion Card" with comments on the poor quality of government provided by the County, solely funded by taxpayer dollars.

This year today at the 16th filing, I was directed to another window toward the rear corner of the filing area.  An older gentleman was waiting but there was no clerk at the window.  Someone from the inside told him that he had to call from a wall telephone, to which he replied that he had already done so, and there was no answer.  The woman on the inside then said that someone would be there shortly.

The clerk who came to the window said herself that her experience was limited to only one conservatorship filing, yet she began to search every document presented to her for mistakes and advise the gentlemen about what to do with the documents for his son.  He had not yet mailed out copies to others in the family.  The clerk then left the window to ask another clerk to help, the same young lady who had deliberately delayed my brother's document filings the year before.  Then another young man arrived, and asked one of the Small Claims clerks whether he could file at that window, to which she replied that he would have to file at the "Mental Health" window, where he was then forced to stand in line.  Several times I asked both clerks why they did not either accept the gentleman's documents "as is" or make the necessary changes themselves.  As they had no answer, the clerk who had been uncooperative the last year threatened to call security.  I told her that I have a right to express my opinion.

Only after I asked one of the Small Claims clerks, who were very polite, to speak to a supervisor, and gave her, the supervisor, my written comments, did the two clerks at the window begin to expedite the process.  I was in line for approximately 30 minutes, while clerks at other filing windows were not taking care of any customers.

This is disgraceful government waste, and disrespectful to the people who pay taxes.  The Jury Commissioner/Administrator Michael Planet is a pinhead.  He should have received sufficient notice of improper activities by public servants last year.  Nothing positive has been done.  Instead, the treatment received by individuals and their families at the hands of government bureaucrats is even more repugnant this year.  He should be fired without pay.

Who to Pick for VP?

http://www.westernperspective.blogspot.com/

Barring a military confrontation with Iran, the November presidential election may ultimately depend on upcoming televised debates, particularly in critical swing states.  Thus it has become vitally important, contrary to the opinion of the liberal news media, that Romney pick the right person as his running mate.  In a close election, it really comes down to who would fare best against Joe Biden in a one-on-one debate..

VP suggestions have ranged from New Mexico governor Susana Martinez, to New Jersey governor Chris Christie, to Wisconsin congressman Paul Ryan, to Florida senator Marco Rubio.  Picking a woman or minority candidate will be perceived as pandering and will not work.  Any woman or minority voter who would change his or her vote based upon a VP candidate's race or gender will almost certainly vote Democrat anyway.  That is not what the Republican Party is all about.  This is exactly what the Democrats are hoping Romney will do.

One name seldom mentioned is that of Ron Paul of Texas.  Romney will need the support of youthful Paul enthusiasts come November.  Paul would virtually massacre Biden in any fair debate on all key issues ranging from sanctity of life to foreign policy.

¡DARWIN SÍ! ¡DARWINISM NO!

http://www.westernperspective.blogspot.com/

President Obama recently blasted the Ryan budget proposal as a reflection of Social Darwinism, a crude 19th century attempt to justify capitalism by claiming it is based on a scientific goal to promote the survival of the fittest in society.  There is little doubt in the scientific community today that Charles Darwin did point out some interesting facts in his work "Origin of Species".  The question is whether these discoveries are even at all applicable or helpful in formulating socio-economic policy.

Obama raises a valid point that capitalism is fundamentally unjust in allocating disproportionate wealth to a small segment of society, and relegating the vast majority of people to little better than slave labor, a condition far worse than Medieval serfdom.  However, Paul Ryan's proposed legislation, far from taking away legitimate benefits such as Social Security and Medicare, is designed to curb the very abuses that we have seen with the recent GSA and Secret Service scandals.  It is high time to put aside all of the narrow  doctrinaire "isms" and start dealing with the horrendous problems facing our nation.

Demonizing George Zimmerman

http://www.westernperspective.blogspot.com/

Community development projects are owned by those who purchase the individual homes within the subdivision, including the common areas.  George Zimmerman, as owner, had every right to drive his vehicle and walk along the roads and lanes within his Twin Lakes Retreat in the city of Sanford, Florida on the night that Trevon Martin was killed.  Trevon and his father were only guests of the father's girlfriend, and had no ownership interest in the property.  Even if George was not a security volunteer at Twin Lakes, he still would have the right to walk around his property to find out what is going on.

When Trevon attacked George and pushed him to the ground, the question then becomes whether George was reasonably fearful of losing his life or suffering serious bodily harm.  If so, he had an absolute right to act in his own defense by using deadly, lethal force to stop Trevon from beating him up.  The police apparently concluded that George was reasonably fearful of Trevon to justify the use of the only appropriate force against him by shooting him with a gun, substantiated by witness statements on the night of the incident, including George's own statements to police and paramedics, and the injuries he sustained to his face and back of his head in the fight.

The media wizards and gurus are only concerned that prosecuting Zimmerman for a crime he did not commit would make the Florida state government look like fools when Zimmerman is ultimately acquitted on all counts.  How would they like it if a neighbor's guest coming onto their property started beating them up for no reason?  When will the national media get off of their witch hunt against George Zimmerman?

Community Laws Must Be Changed

http://www.westernperspective.blogspot.com/

The Trayvon Martin case brings out a growing problem in American society.  As more and more Americans choose not to marry or have children, a growing number opt to own and live in smaller, less expensive residences in condo or other community projects, while others with families seek greater protection in gated communities all run by HOAs.  In actuality, the owners themselves have little or no say in how the HOA board members and management companies spend their money.  It often happens that greedy lawyers work with real estate brokers and management companies to generate income by rigging HOA elections and raising Homeowners dues and thereby forcing many residents to face eviction with the lawyers pocketing inflated legal fees approved by their own HOA and management company stooges, and steering unnecessary construction and landscaping contracts to their financial friends bilking the homeowners of more money while depriving them of quiet enjoyment of their own property through vindictive annoyances.

Some excellent law enforcement work has been done recently in Nevada to curtail HOA fraud.  State and federal laws will have to be vigorously enforced making lawyers and real estate agents accountable for participating in fraudulent activities, forfeiting their licenses for these reprehensible activities.
