Palin/Beck America's Dream Team

http://westernperspective.blogspot.com/

Patriotic, loyal Americans can start today to implement a Ten Year Plan. The goal should be to elect pro-life and fiscally responsible Democrats, Republicans or those of other affiliation, both locally and nationally in 2010. This will follow on the heels of the kickoff victories earlier this year. We can then make sure that any health care bill will protect the lives of the unborn and will not be too costly.

Sarah Palin is the clear choice for the Republican Party nominee in 2012. She is a Washington outsider with a record of leadership in Alaska. She will bring diversity of gender to the White House. She is not beholden to special interests.

America is not essentially capitalist, but exceptionalist. The Alaska energy regulation provides for sharing of revenues with Alaska citizens. This is not anti-American but rather promotes the common good. Nowhere in our Constitution does it say that wealthy capitalists should be given special privileges. Sarah Palin stands for American exceptionalism in the proud tradition of Teddy Roosevelt and Ronald Reagan.

Glenn Beck is media savvy. This will boost the ticket by compensating for Palin's weaknesses as exemplified by the Katie Couric interview last year.

A Reconstituted Reagan Coalition?

http://westernperspective.blogspot.com/

The Reagan presidency reconciled three elements that often seemed opposed to each other. These were the social, fiscal and defense conservatives respectively.

Today's world is much different than that of 1980 when Reagan began making his stump speeches across the country igniting a wave of prairie fires caused by discontent with big government. But the principles are the same. Limited government and lower taxes, keeping the federal government at bay.

Today there is no central national leader to lead the charge. Instead, the wave of indignation is occurring spontaneously at tea parties and town hall meetings nationwide. The lesson of November 3 is that Americans are reasserting their God given liberty which transcends political categories. Either the politicians will get on board, or they will face extinction in the upcoming elections.

Those who view Doug Hoffman's showing in New York's 23rd as a defeat completely miss the point of the reawakening process. As in the days of Ronald Reagan, this is all about redistribution, but not as Obama's supporters envision.

Vanity Fair

http://westernperspective.blogspot.com/

Ronald Reagan's biggest fault was his actor's vanity.

Today, media mavens bemoan the great divide between the Republican Establishment represented by the likes of Colin Powell and David Brooks on the one hand, and the rank and file voters represented by Rush Limbaugh, Michele Bachmann and Sarah Palin and her husband Todd on the other. Michelle Laxalt, the daughter of the late Nevada Senator and member of the Establishment, commented brashly to Chris Matthews recently that she is a Republican and dislikes Rush Limbaugh, which only goes to show how out of touch with reality she is. The older generation of intellectuals like Bill Buckley are gone. Even during his lifetime, there were indications of a split in the ranks between the educated elite and the working base.

The Republican leadership will either have to shed its phony pretenses or become a thing of the past. Conservatives don't win elections by kowtowing to feminists and minorities. We must win hearts and minds by offering a better alternative to liberal failures. We must convince women through rational discourse that they have a better place in the home raising children, and in workplace employment that does not create artificial incentives pitting them against more intelligent men. Dividing men against women only increases the power of the greedy, and leads to the further exploitation of women by the few.

Palin's Announcement Happy Surprise

http://westernperspective.blogspot.com/

Sarah Palin's announcement that she will be stepping down as Alaska governor brings her back into the field as a serious presidential contender, which had been previously jeopardized by her husband's association with a secessionist group in the state.

Being on the political speaking circuit and doing political ads will be far more lucrative than her compensation for holding public office. These opportunities will not last forever. In addition, she now has the chance to buck the Republican establishment as Ronald Reagan was able to do in 1980.

Survival of the Fittest

http://westernperspective.blogspot.com/

Governor Mark Sanford's recent junket Argentina is another example of the principles of social Darwinism within the Republican Party. He now joins the list of potential candidates in 2012 including Palin, Jindal, Ensign, Gingrich and Huntsman, who may have become extinct in the presidential political environment through gaffes.

The real issue is America's smallness as a nation. Those in the Republican Party who do not adhere to a code of honor should be thrown out of office. This essentially clears the field leaving not the ones who are most qualified by human standards, but the ones who are among the elect in God's judgment. This is why the Republican Party produces the best presidents from Abraham Lincoln to Teddy Roosevelt and Ronald Reagan.

Darwin was correct in the idea of evolution. Darwinism is a fallacy that rejects creation, believing in life coming into existence by chance. God's Kingdom is outside the realm of scientific exploration.

Solar Space Energy the New Wave

http://westernperspective.blogspot.com/
Thanks in large part to Ronald Reagan's Strategic Defense Initiative, America will be able to harness and harvest an unlimited energy source from the sun later in this century. We already transmit and receive radio waves to and from space satellites. The challenge of this century will be channeling microwaves from the sun to our planet and converting them into electrical power. This will be 100% pollution free.

America leads in space technology and will control space in this century just as Britain at one time controlled the high seas in centuries gone by. America will be the gatekeeper of the world's newest, cheapest, and most reliable energy source from space, providing access to every nation in the world.

President Obama is on the right track in creating a stimulus for economic growth in the interim, and keeping America out of costly foreign entanglements fueled by greed. This is the time for baby boomers to make sacrifices. The naysayers all around us don't want America to become energy independent and argue that Americans are unwilling to wait another four years to develop our immense domestic reserves of coal, oil, and natural gas. It is time for the baby boomers to demand that America cuts back on foreign energy imports and begins exploration and development at home. We no longer need to be dependent on foreign oil as a justification for costly wars against our Arab neighbors. Cut back drastically on energy consumption now while we are getting the gas pipelines, coal mines, oil rigs and refineries set up. Who cares if it takes another four to ten years? Our parents and grandparents accepted greater sacrifices than this for us, and we can undergo a little discomfort for future generations regardless of what the naysayers tell us. With this new found compassion goes changes in culture, specifically an end to treating persons as disposable objects through in vitro fertilization, contraception and abortion, the end of hedonism and the beginning of the practice of asceticism.

As Reagan predicted, America's best years are yet to come with Space Energy as king.
