The reason why brain freezes or "senior moments" occur among presidents and presidential candidates is because they have a hidden agenda intentionally or unintentionally trying to deceive Americans, and get hoisted on their own petard, to use one of G. Gordon Liddy's expressions.
So far, all of the Republican hopefuls who have either not entered or have left the race are breaking for Romney. When it becomes obvious through primary results that Romney will inevitably win the nomination, he will then receive a groundswell of support within the Republican Party and among Independents and blue collar Democrats. The sooner this happens, the better will be his chances to defeat Obama.
