Chris Christie could be the quintessential Reaganesque presidential
candidate except for one drawback. He is a former prosecutor in the
state of New Jersey.
In a capitalist society with a worldwide reputation for meanness not
always warranted, ex-prosecutors are recognized for having mean streaks,
as for example, the professional mud wrestlers on CNN, MSNBC and Fox.
Whether or not they have platinum bleached hair, they generally rank
with Leroy Brown as being "meaner than a junkyard dog". Greta van
Susteren, on the other hand, is a former defense attorney who would
project a much more positive image as a presidential candidate.
The television punditocracy tends to be wrong about just about
everything most of the time. Take for example Mitt Romney. While
conservative pundits blast Romney for being America's substitute prom
date, the one that high school girls keep on the string in case they
don't get invited by another guy (or another girl following political
correctness), in reality the American people know that Romney is next
year's Homecoming King to beat Obama in the Superbowl.
