Even before releasing her resignation announcement on July 3, the media
pundits had already written Governor Sarah Palin's political obituary.
In their view, Palin had already lost the 2012 Republican presidential
primary because of her husband's past separatist tendencies in Alaska.
Was this guilt by association?
After she announced that she
would be stepping down beginning next week, the pundits were outdoing
each other to drive the last nail into her coffin.
Maybe Palin does not want to run in 2012. If she does run, her decision to resign will not stop her.
