The buzz is that Obama is about to name a new ambassador to the Vatican.
I
hope he gives Michael Novak some consideration. Novak has a solid
seminary education and is a devout, faithful lay Catholic. As a
reporter, he covered the Second Vatican Council for various
publications and has also studied at the Pontifical Gregorian
University in Rome. He has written many books and articles on a wide
range of topics, and has taught at the university level. He is
therefore well qualified to be our next ambassador to the Vatican.
