GM R.I.P.

It's not just the unions that like high fuel-consumption vehicles, presumably because they generate more dollars per vehicle. Individuals and families also like them. Detroit would not have built them otherwise if they weren't going to sell. The problem is not what kind of vehicle is being built, but whether America has the guts to break the Israeli stranglehold and start harvesting our own energy reserves. Believe me, there ARE plenty of energy reserves here in America. We don't need to be dependent on foreign sources. Cost is only one factor to weigh. There is also the safety of America which we will insure a lot better once we stop tapping into foreign energy sources.

America has no business being in the Middle East. President Reagan learned this after the bombing of the Marine barracks in Beirut in 1983. The Middle East had been under Arab rule for centuries. Jews began settling there and then were given the British Mandate circa 1922 to make a homeland there. Those who settled there did so of their own accord. Americans do not owe them anything. If they choose to stay there, then it is their own responsibility to provide for their own defense, and to resolve disputes with their geographical neighbors, and not the responsibility of the United States. Rick Wagoner did an outstanding job of managing General Motors in difficult times. We did not elect a king to dictate when a company must fire its top man, and appoint a bureaucratic corp to tell them what models they must produce as opposed to more popular models. Our government has gone berserk. Rahm is Svengali to Barack, and all he cares about is perpetually supporting the Israeli state. It's too bad that GM went down. Keep your Klunker. Don't buy GM socialist produced automobiles. They will not be any good, take my word for it.
