Two hundred and thirty-two years ago, with the signing of the Declaration of Independence, America came into being as a nation. We have achieved great prosperity and undergone much suffering since that time.
The next half century should be a time of humility and returning to our roots as one nation under God. As mentioned previously, a Bavarian mystic reportedly told an American GI at the end of World War II that America would never be invaded by a foreign power, but would be destroyed economically by a series of natural disasters. We have seen the beginnings of this process with Hurricane Katrina in 2005 and now we are seeing huge wildfire devastation on the West Coast. The revelation to the GI, if authentic, must have been in 1946 or shortly thereafter, and apparently the referenced time period was 100 years from that time and not to the end of the 20th century. In general, Christian prophecy is limited to one generation or approximately 100 years from when it is received.
If true, this means that America will not be destroyed by terrorism or by weapons of mass destruction. However, because we as a nation have strayed from our Christian heritage, there are natural disasters to get us back on track. The degree of economic collapse can be averted if Americans turn back to our Creator once again, and there are already signs of this happening. In any case, the entire cycle will be over before most of us are dead. It could be the end of capitalism as we know it.
